PATENTED TRIAXIAL HINGE

Single axis and polycentric hinges were designed prior to research that measured the geometric characteristics of knee motion. All other hinges, regardless of misleading names like "multi-centric", are still simple single axis or double axis hinges which are proven to promote a mechanical mismatch that includes brace migration.

NEAR-NORMAL HINGE MOVEMENT

A functional knee brace must produce near-normal joint motion with minimal restrictions. These criteria may be obvious, but clearly many ACL braces fail to meet them. The simplistic movement of single axis and polycentric hinges are incompatible with the complex motion generated by the knee.

The Mueller Patented Triaxial Hinge brace manages to produce near-normal joint motion with minimal restrictions.

Triaxial means that these hinges have 3 rivets instead of the usual 1 or 2. This gives a more natural movement than a standard hinge. They will feel less restrictive while offering a superior level of support to the joint. The 2 hinges are not connected which means they work independtly of each other.

HOW TO MEASURE AND CHOOSE THE RIGHT BRACE

Wearing the proper size of a brace is very important for recovery or prevention of injuries. Using the incorrect size may increase your chances of an injury or re-injury. Follow the proper sizing techniques and the corresponding sizing charts to help you find the proper fitting brace.

ANKLE

MEASURE AROUND KNEE

Standing with a slight bend in your knee, measure the circumference directly around the center of your knee.

MEASURE AROUND ANKLE

Standing - measure the circumference around your ankle joint (ankle bone). Sitting - flex your foot, then measure the circumference around your ankle joint (ankle bone).

BACK

MEASURE AROUND WAIST

Standing in a relaxed position, measure around your waist at the narrowest point

KNEE/LEG

MEASURE
AROUND KNEE

Standing with a
slight bend in your
knee, measure the
circumference directly
around the center of
your knee.

MEASURE AROUND
3 IN ABOVE KNEE

Standing with a slight
bend in your knee,
measure 3 inches
above your knee cap
and measure the
circumference around your leg at that point.

MEASURE AROUND
THIGH AT WIDEST POINT

Measure the circumference
of the thickest part of your thigh.

MEASURE AROUND
CALF AT WIDEST POINT

Measure the circumference of the thickest part of your
calf. If ordering a pair,
measure both calves and find the average.

ELBOW

MEASURE AROUND ELBOW

With a slight bend in your elbow,
measure the circumference directly
around the center of your elbow.
If ordering a pair, measure both
elbows and find the average.

MEASURE AROUND BICEP

With a slight bend in your elbow,
slightly flex and measure the
circumference of the thickest part of
your bicep. If ordering a pair, measure
both biceps and find the average.
